Gear Care & Storage

A few deliberate habits make equipment easier to inspect, pack and use again. Always follow the care label or instructions supplied with the particular item.

Clean after the trip

Remove loose dirt and debris before packing. Use gentle cleaning methods permitted by the item instructions. Avoid assuming that a fabric, coating or kitchen finish can tolerate harsh chemicals, machine washing or high heat. Clean food-contact items after use and dry them before storage.

Dry before putting away

Let equipment dry thoroughly, including ground-contact surfaces, seams, pockets and folds. Storing damp gear can cause odor and deterioration. If you had to pack in wet weather, unpack and air the items as soon as practical.

Inspect moving parts and edges

Look for grit in zippers, wear at attachment points and damage around folding joints. Check furniture supports and kitchen handles before the next outing. Do not force a stuck mechanism or keep using an item whose function has become unsafe.

Organize by campsite routine

Group kitchen items separately from shelter parts and keep sharp objects protected. Empty tote pockets and remove food residue. Store equipment in a dry place away from unnecessary pressure, direct heat and prolonged sunlight.

Prepare before your next departure

Open and inspect the kit at home. Review assembly guidance, locate any components listed by the supplier and confirm that the equipment still suits your plans. Product photographs do not establish package contents, so rely on confirmed item information.

When you need help

Contact support with the product name and a description of the issue if a label is missing or damage is unclear. Do not improvise a repair that changes a safety-critical function. Our Return Policy explains how to report an item issue.
